The saying an apple a day keeps a doctor away is not just a saying. It is actually correct because of the goodness of this fruit. Apple is a fruit that is extremely rich in all the nutrients like carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, niacin, minerals like calcium, iron and magnesium, and phytonutrients.

1. Rich source of antioxidants-This fruit is a rich source of antioxidants. Antioxidants are very important for the body. Antioxidants present in apples heal and repair the damaged cells and tissues of the body which is highly beneficial in health issues like cancer, cholesterol issues, etc.

2. Clear skin- This fruit has the capability of protecting the skin against the harmful rays of the sun. The sunscreens contain compositions with fruit extracts these days which help in the complete protection of the skin. As a result, there are fewer dark spots on the skin and so the skin appears clear and bright.

3. Hydrates body and skin- Our skin needs a lot of water. Eating fruits is a good way of increasing the water content in the body and skin. Skin becomes soft and smooth with better water content and our body works better with the proper quantity of water in it.
